Thomas is a Consultant at Sapling Financial Consultants. Before joining Sapling, he earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, majoring in Physics and Economics. His cross-disciplinary background has equipped him with strong quantitative analytical skills and a solid understanding of the economic frameworks that drive business decision-making. Upon graduation, Thomas transitioned into finance and consulting and has since passed Level III of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program.

At Sapling, Thomas focuses on full deal cycle advisory, executing and supporting multiple engagements across financial modeling, due diligence, FP&A reporting, forecasting, and M&A transaction support. He has worked closely with clients to develop financial support and insights across various aspects of their financial activities.

Most recently, Thomas provided buy-side deal advisory services to a startup healthcare private equity fund for its first acquisition, supporting the transaction through the full deal cycle. He has also built an investor-grade financial model for a potential tax equity transaction in the renewable energy sector and developed a real estate portfolio model to enhance a client’s FP&A capabilities.
