Richard Lee is a recognized coach and advisor within the technology sector and has a wealth of consulting experience. He applies his expert knowledge and industry experience to help technology entrepreneurs and executives solve business problems. Richard is a graduate of the University of Leicester with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
His early career began with Deloitte, where he spent the next 29 years working at various levels and sectors of the business. He began at Deloitte UK as a Consultant and progressed to the Senior Manager role working on consulting projects within the private and public sectors, including the major privatizations of the gas, water and electricity supply industries. As a Senior Manager, he completed a two-year secondment to Deloitte Australia to found a telecom and media consulting practice. Richard then joined Braxton Associates, Deloitte’s strategy consulting practice, working with telcos in Canada and the USA on a range of strategic issues.
Richard was promoted to Partner at Deloitte Canada and focused on developing and implementing customer-focused strategies for leading North American enterprises in the technology, media and telecom sectors. He then moved into the Human Capital practice focusing on talent strategies and change management, where he provided advice on a wide range of strategic and human capital business issues to leading companies of all sizes.
After his time at Deloitte, Richard worked with Aequitas Innovations on a project to streamline the capital formation process for private companies. He is now an Executive in Residence with the Ted Rogers School of Management, working with MBA students to provide insights into the Canadian consulting profession. He is also a member of Deloitte’s Alumni Advisory Council and acts as an Advisor for GIMME360.
