Raffi is a seasoned executive with a 30+ year career spanning M&A advisory, operational leadership, and entrepreneurship. He began in the Big 4 world, in audit and consulting at Deloitte and KPMG, before moving into investment banking at Morgan Stanley as a Vice President — executing M&A and corporate finance transactions and leading financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and board-level advisory across technology, media, consumer, and mining.

Raffi has also lived the deals he once advised on. As COO and EVP of TerraVest, a publicly traded fund investing in SMEs, he directed M&A strategy end to end and led the turnaround of a distressed portfolio company as interim CEO. He went on to found and scale three consumer products companies from inception to national distribution. This combination of advisor, acquirer, and operator experience lets Raffi see a transaction from every side of the table — the diligence that protects value, the integration that realizes it, and the operational discipline that sustains it. With Sapling, he leads engagements for private equity and corporate clients across our full range of services. He holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.

Outside of work, Raffi stays active at the gym, enjoys reading, cooking, and travelling, and spending time with his two boys.
