Omar is a Consultant at Sapling Financial Consultants. He brings a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, enterprise technology, and business strategy, with experience working across North American markets in both technical and client-facing roles.
Omar began his career in embedded systems and automotive engineering before transitioning into solution sales engineering at Geotab and Assured Telematics, where he partnered with enterprise clients to design and implement IoT and telematics solutions. In these roles, he developed a strong foundation in translating complex technical data into actionable business insights, managing client relationships, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Omar holds a BASc in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, and an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University. He also holds a PMP certification and Google Cloud Professional certifications. Outside of work, Omar enjoys exploring emerging technologies, playing soccer, and endurance sports.
