Prior to joining Sapling Financial Consultants, he was an Associate Director at Doane Grant Thornton, where he spent over five years in the Transactions group advising mid-market clients across various industries, including manufacturing, transportation, education, and real estate. His expertise in financial strategy, deal structuring, and valuation makes him a trusted advisor, helping businesses navigate complex financial decisions with confidence.
Before his time at Doane Grant Thornton, Stefan worked in commercial banking, specializing in equipment finance at Wells Fargo and Coast Capital Savings. In these roles, he collaborated closely with businesses in the transportation and construction industries, helping them secure financing for essential equipment and growth.
Stefan holds an MBA from McMaster University and has earned the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation, further strengthening his expertise. His analytical skills and deep understanding of business valuation enable him to provide strategic guidance to clients pursuing value-driven decisions and transactions.
Outside of work, Stefan is a sports enthusiast who enjoys basketball, volleyball, and mountain biking. He also has a passion for travel, fitness, and motorsports, embracing an active and adventurous lifestyle.
