Junwon Kang is a driven data analyst with a background in statistical analysis, decision analytics, and applied research. He joined Sapling Financial Consultants after completing his Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, where he gained hands-on experience in data engineering, statistical modeling, and business intelligence.
Prior to joining Sapling, Junwon worked at AMD as a Program Management Analyst, where he led the design and implementation of a PostgreSQL database and built automated SQL reporting pipelines to streamline internal processes. He also developed Python-based tools to collect and analyze customer sentiment data from online platforms, helping teams better understand market feedback and performance. Over time, he became known for his analytical mindset, collaborative approach, and drive to turn data into actionable insights.
Outside of work, Junwon enjoys bouldering, catching American football games, and traveling to explore local cuisines.
